CONGRATULATIONS to our own Masher Sandy Cockerham who was elected to the AHA Governing Committee! I’m proud to say that the Motor City Mashers has a member of the AHA Governing Board as a member of our club! (Now Sandy, maybe we can work on that ‘all expense paid trip to the National Homebrewers Conference for the presidents of homebrew clubs that have AHA Governing Board members as club members’ thing… <grin>

The AHA Big Brew 2015 is coming Saturday, May 2nd! MOTOR CITY MASHERS will be ‘riding around the track’ at Adventures in Homebrewing in Taylor, Michigan! It’s Kentucky Derby Day… make sure you wear your finest hat or Derby gear!
Have you signed up to brew yet? Bringing any homebrew to share? How about a dish to pass? If not, SIGN UP HERE!

Jeff Oliver, PR Manager of Adventures in Homebrewing, announced more information on the Big Brew 2015 (being held on Saturday, May 2nd starting at 9am) including how to sign up to brew, bring kegs/beers to sample and even food/dish to pass:

Hello Everyone,
Big Brew Day is getting closer! Adventures in Homebrew is looking for brewing volunteers! Just tell us who you are, what you want to brew and show up with your equipment! We ask that you pick up your supplies before May 2nd. Ingredients will be provided by AIH for our volunteers.
For those with beer to bring for sampling, tap space can be made available. And feel free to bring food, we love a good potluck!
