Motor City Mashers November 2015 Meeting Notice – Learn to Homebrew Day Info – Dues Notice

LTHD15

Howdy Mashers!

Our November meeting will be held on Friday, November 6th starting at 7PM at the Adventures in Homebrewing Taylor Call Center. At that meeting, we will be collecting dues for 2016, which are $25/person. (The increase is due to our club insurance, and was discussed at the last meeting.)

This meeting is extremely important one. We will be discussing details of the Holiday/Christmas Party on Saturday, December 5th at ‘La Casa de Podsaid’, as well as finalizing details and prep for Learn to Homebrew Day which is the next day (Saturday, November 7th). If you are brewing, you may want to consider bringing your brew setup that night and leave it at the shop…

Adventures in Homebrewing is giving the Motor City Mashers a deal… On Friday, November 6th, from 6PM to 7PM ONLY, members of the Motor City Mashers will get 10% off their bill. In order to get this deal, a special PERSONALIZED flyer will be sent to each of you via email. Look out for it in your inbox by Friday, October 30th. (If you didn’t not receive one by October 31st and are a paid up member, please email me.) This deal is NOT TRANSFERABLE and is only good for that one hour. (Nice incentive to come to the meeting and pay your dues, right?) THANK YOU AiH FOR THIS DEAL!!!

As mentioned, Saturday, November 7th is Learn to Homebrew Day. I’ve been told the Adventures in Homebrewing theme is SMaSH Bash! (Single Malt and Single Hop, but you are not limited to that for that brew day.) If you are brewing, you can set up your brew gear starting at 9AM. If you ARE brewing, bringing pot luck and/or bringing any corny kegs/beer to share, we’re asking that you please fill out the following online form: http://goo.gl/forms/Dzf3UWF53G . AiH will provide on-site brewers with malts for their brew day. (Please pick up your ingredients prior to that day. The online form must be filled out first.)

Finally, ‎Steve Smalenberg from the KGB has invited us to join them for their annual chili cook off at Kuhnhenn Brewing Co. on 11/14. We can come to compete or just eat. See graphic for details (below). If you have questions, please contact them using the email in the graphic. Competitors must preregister this year, so please email if you would like to enter the Chili Cook-off.

Jennifer and I will be attending the MBG Detroit Fall Beer Festival both days. Let me know if you would like to meet up. Cheers!
