This month we're going to be talking and demoing cider! Bring $20 and a clean (preferably non-glass) fermenter and walk out with everything you need to make an award-winning batch! Participants are strongly encouraged to submit their cider to the Michigan Beer Cup and Michigan State Fair. Please let us know if you're interested before the meeting so we know how much to bring.
We'll also be doing some last-minute planning and turnout for our big bowling outing later in April.
This month's featured style is Czech Amber/Dark Lager so bring your version to receive a point to the MCM HBOTY.

MCM Bowling Event - April 29th
The MCM Annual Bowling Outing is back and better than ever! Shoes, pizza and beer come with your $25 registration cost but that's just the beginning! Dozens of sponsors have contributed some very generous prizes this year that will be raffled off after the games. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and other opportunities to take home some amazing prizes. You are not required to bowl to participate in the raffles. We encourage you to check out the growing list of event sponsors and thank them for their contribution to MCM!

Big Brew Day - May 6, 2023
SAVE THE DATE! As always, the Mashers will be participating in Big Brew Day to celebrate National Homebrew Day.
Held on the first Saturday in May, Big Brew for National Homebrew Day is an opportunity to fire up the kettle and raise a glass to the greatest hobby there is— homebrewing! We don't have specific details yet but be on the lookout for more information as we get closer to the date.
Equipment Spotlight - Exchilerator
Exchilerator counterflow wort chillers are known for their reliability and incredible chilling speeds that can cool a 5 to 10 gallon batch of boiling wort in as little as 5 minutes! 24-Hour Brew-a-Thon Fundraiser
Our friend Keith Manchester is back at it with another 24-hour marathon brewing session. This year Keith and the Usual Suspects Brewing Crew are working together to raise money for the Humane Society of Macomb. If you're able to donate please do so--not only is it a good cause but the top 2 donating clubs will win a prize package. Let's try and get first place this year!

MCM HBOTY
We will be announcing the winners of our first quarterly competition at the meeting on Friday and also awarding points for members who brought a Czech Dark or Czech Amber lager.
MCM members will earn points for submitting the monthly style, entering the quarterly comps, placing at the quarterly comps, and submitting to 4 Michigan-based homebrew competitions. We should have all the points added to our system by Friday so please look it over and let us know if you believe that you're missing points.
